We are premier venue destination, housed within the beautifully revitalized Clark Theatre in the heart of Downtown Vacaville. Originally opened in 1926, this historic landmark now blends a coffee shop, full kitchen, upscale wine and whiskey bar, venue space, and performance theater — all under one roof.
The Clark Theatre features a state-of-the-art sound system and can host up to 600 guests, making it a vibrant home for live music, performances, celebrations, and community events along Main Street.
Just next door, the 1915 Carnegie Historic Library, lovingly known as The Library, has been thoughtfully transformed into an intimate wine and whiskey bar restaurant. Today, The Library is an active dining destination and a sought-after venue space for private rentals, tastings, and special gatherings, while preserving its historic charm.
Since reopening in 2021, Journey Downtown and The Library have quickly become must-visit Vacaville destinations, welcoming touring artists, performers, and guests from across the United States while continuing to serve as a cultural hub for the local community.

The Cafe serves breakfast & lunch from opening until the kitchen closes at 2:30 PM. Coffee and drinks are served until 3:00 PM.
The Library’s food service is as follows:
4:30 - 9:00 PM Wednesdays - Saturdays
3:00 - 7:00 PM on Sundays

Food & drink availability changes depending on the show. Drinks are typically available at the bar in the theater lobby. We allow food & drinks purchased at The Library into the theater! Just let your bartender know you’re attending the event and they’ll give you the appropriate food & beverage containers.

We do not allow outside catering or food. Our in-house kitchen and catering team is happy to provide a variety of delicious options to support your event and make it a great experience for you and your guests.

Main street has street parking although spaces are limited. There are also a number of public parking lots located within walking distance of the theater.

Doors generally open an hour before the show starts.

You may bring in sealed water bottles, empty plastic refillable water bottles and small personal bags and backpacks.

Outside food, strollers, large backpacks, alcohol, cans, bottles, weapons of any kind, pets. Bags & backpacks may be subject to search before entry. No professional recording devices are allowed.
